Road Trip Essentials
Are you thinking about hitting the open road? Not 100% sure what to pack? You don’t know if you’ve got everything you need?
Well friend, I’m here to help!
Whenever we plan for our road trips, I like to make sure I’ve got plenty of things to keep us going whether that be food, caffeine, gas, or jumper cables!
Safety First:
Oil change - please, if anything, make sure your vehicle is ready to rack on those miles
Jump starter - this is the one we carry on us that doubles as a charging pack if needed
Blankets & water - we have reusable water bottles & also grab 2 gallon jugs for the car
Charging pack & charger - you won’t want to leave the house without one
The Road Trip Basket:
Ideally, this basket is easily accessible for you to grab those small things you might need.
America the Beautiful - Annual National Park Pass for $80
Utensils and paper towels
Hand sanitizer
Cash and change for tolls
Chapstick
Ibuprofen/Tylenol
Itinerary print out
Feminine products
Sunglasses
Gum
The Grub:
We do our best to try to pack healthy, filling snacks for our long driving days, but we also realize that our road trip is a vacation and indulging in new eateries is part of the experience!
First things first, head over to your local Costco or Sam’s Club if able for staple items
Protein bars
Bananas
Raisins/Dates
Pretzels/Popcorn
Individually packaged trail mix (or else Mason and I will eat the entire bag by day two)
Cheese sticks
Individually packaged hummus
Chicken breast bites
Jerky
Pickles
The MISC Things:
Tripod - this one is great & has come in handy so much that we can’t leave without it.
Polaroid - not needed but you should just get one.
Reusable water bottle - try to save the earth a little.
Hydration backpack - obviously great for any activity and makes your hands free.
Wine/bottle opener - we’ve made the mistake one too many times in forgetting this.
There you have it - our road trip essentials!
