Lower Greenville is a trendy neighborhood located in Dallas, Texas. We swung through for one night to enjoy a concert and fell in love with this area. Breakfast/Coffee

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at Toasted Coffee + Kitchen. They serve artisan coffee and fresh pastries, as well as savory dishes like breakfast tacos. We were lucky enough to find an Airbnb that partnered with Toasted Coffee + Kitchen to offer all their guests complimentary drinks during their stay. This includes any coffee drink! I had my tried and true honey cinnamon latte that was delicious and some fresh banana nut bread. So good.

What to Do

After breakfast, head over to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden for a morning stroll. This 66-acre garden is located on the banks of White Rock Lake and is known for its beautiful displays of seasonal flowers and plants.

Spend your afternoon exploring the unique shops and boutiques on Lower Greenville Avenue. Stop by Dolly Python for vintage clothing and accessories or Society for handmade jewelry and gifts then treat yourself to a new plant baby at The Planting Hand.

Lunch

For lunch, head to HG Sply Co. This restaurant serves up healthy and delicious dishes with a focus on local, organic ingredients. We enjoyed their happy hour and filled up on the Salmon Poke Tacos and Cochinita Nachos. You won’t be disappointed.

Dinner

For dinner, head to Leela’s Pizza & Wine Bar. Not only is this place trendy and adorable, their kitchen is kicking out unique charcuterie boards and tasty thin-crust pizzas. As for the bar, they’ve got dozens of wine on tap but I have to mention their espresso martini. Yes - they are a wine bar but you are doing yourself a favor trying out this martini!

After dinner, head to Truck Yard. This outdoor bar and food truck park has a laid-back atmosphere and is a great place to unwind with a cold beer and some live music.

Looking for a sweet treat? Walk over to Botolino Gelato Artigianale for some authentic gelato made from local ingredients. It’s easy to see why they’ve been voted “Best Ice Cream in Dallas”.

Deep Ellum Detour

After enjoying Lower Greenville Avenue shops and food, we headed to Deep Ellum for a concert at The Studio. It was a great venue surrounded by bars and restaurants. We decided to try out the well-known “ice shot" and rang the bell at Federales. Pick out your favorite shot and give it a go the next time you’re nearby!

Where to Stay

For a unique stay, book a room at The Gaston Boutique Bed & Breakfast. This charming bungalow was built back in 1912 but has since been renovated into a modern, romantic stay. It’s also family-owned and female-operated!

We chose to stay just one block from Lower Greenville Avenue at the 1920’s City Retreat on Airbnb. If you’re someone who prefers to be within walking distance, this is your place.

Lower Greenville is a great neighborhood to explore for a day in Dallas. There’s truly something for everyone. Be sure to check out these recommended spots and make the most of your day in Lower Greenville.
